La cérémonie d’ouverture du 6e sommet de Transform Africa , sous le thème « Connecter,innover, transformer » s’est tenue cette année à Victoria’s Fall au Zimbabwe.
A cette occasion, plusieurs personnalités du secteur du Numérique ainsi que les chefs d’Etat de 6 pays étaient présents parmi lesquels Son Excellence Président Paul Kagame du Rwanda, Président de l’Alliance Smart Africa et Son Excellence Président Emmerson Mnangagwa du Zimbabwé, pays hôte.
Lors de leurs différentes allocutions,les intervenants ont rappelé l’impact de la transformation numérique sur le continent Africain , dans des domaines aussi multiples que variés ( Santé, Éducation, Finances, Technologie de l’Information et de la Communication) et la nécessité pour l’Afrique de rester unie pour relever les défis auxquels elle est confrontée et surmonter les obstacles qui s’opposent à elle.
Ce sommet est un appel aux pays membres à devenir plus compétitifs tout en favorisant des engagements significatifs entre les dirigeants de gouvernement, les chefs d’états et les Ministres pour attirer des investissements à grande échelle, favoriser une croissance et des exportations rapides et créer un écosystème basé sur l’innovation et les Tic.
Pour rappel, l’Alliance Smart Africa est un regroupement de 35 pays membres, née d’un engagement ambitieux des chefs d’État et de gouvernement africains pour accélérer le développement socio-économique durable sur le continent, accompagner l’Afrique vers l’économie du savoir à travers l’accès abordable à l’internet haut débit et l’utilisation des technologies de l’information et des communications.
Antérieurement au sommet « Transform Africa » 2023 de Smart Africa, la 12ème Réunion du Conseil Africain des Régulateurs (CAR12) s’est tenue ce 24 avril 2023 au Éléphant Hills resort à Victoria Falls au Zimbabwe.
Le Conseil Africain des Régulateurs (CAR) est un nouvel organe consultatif continental réunissant toutes les autorités de régulation ou agences du secteur des télécommunications en Afrique.
La Guinée était représentée à cette cérémonie par le Ministère des Postes et Télécommunications de l’économie Numérique , une équipe de l’ARPT, une équipe de l’ANSUTEN, de la SOGEB et de la GUILAB.
